  • Word Count – 2,500 words to 7,000
  • Theme – This is a tribute anthology honouring the legacy of actress Michelle Trachtenberg, particularly her unforgettable performance in a beloved supernatural television series.

This is a tribute to the stories behind the spotlight: to mystical girls, unchosen heroes, found families, and impossible truths. Keyed celebrates those who bear the weight of the world in secret—whether they were meant to or not—and the bonds that give them strength.

    • Magical secrets and mystical roles
    • People shaped by forces beyond their control
    • Found family, sacrifice, and emotional resilience
    • Monsters that reflect our fears—and the ones who fight them
    • The uncanny strength of those never meant to be heroes
    • The dark, funny, and heartbreaking chaos of growing up in a world full of magic and menace

We’re seeking original fiction (no fanfiction) that captures the tone, heart, and themes of the Buffy-era supernatural genre—with a special nod to characters like the girl who was never supposed to be real, but saved the world anyway.

  • Genre – Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Supernatural, Horror (light), Magical Realism, Mystery, Speculative Fiction.
  • Compensation – 40% of royalties split between all authors within the anthology for one year from the date of publication.
  • Reprints – Yes
  • Simultaneous Submissions – No
  • For more information on how to submit, check the Submission Guidelines.

Please Note:
This anthology is not affiliated with or endorsed by any media company or existing intellectual property. All submissions must be original fiction, not fanfiction or derivative works.
