WATCHERS & WHITE KNIGHTS

  • Deadline – 28 September 2026
  • Publication – TBA 2027
  • Word Count – 2,500 words to 7,000
  • Theme – This is a tribute anthology honouring the legacy of actors Nicholas Brendon & Anthony Head, and the unforgettable friendship, courage, humour, and heart they brought to a beloved supernatural television series.
  • We’re looking for original stories that explore themes such as friendship, found family, courage, loyalty, hope, sacrifice, mentorship, redemption, and ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Stories should capture the spirit of these themes while remaining entirely original and not fan fiction.

Watchers & White Knights will explore themes of:

  • Libraries, books, and forgotten knowledge
  • Mentors and students
  • Ordinary heroes
  • Friendship and found family
  • Humour in dark times
  • Courage against impossible odds
  • Research, mystery, and discovery
  • Hope, sacrifice, and loyalty

We’re seeking original fiction (no fanfiction) that captures the tone, heart, and themes of the Buffy-era supernatural genre.

  • Genre – Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Supernatural, Horror (light), Magical Realism, Mystery, Speculative Fiction.
  • Compensation – 40% of royalties split between all authors within the anthology for one year from the date of publication. 
  • Reprints – Yes
  • Simultaneous Submissions – No

This anthology is not affiliated with or endorsed by any media company or existing intellectual property. It is an independent tribute to the emotional and thematic impact of Nicholas Brendon & Anthony Head’s work, particularly their roles in a cult supernatural series. All submissions must be original fiction, not fanfiction or derivative works.

MERROW

  • Deadline: 28 October 2026
  • Publication: TBA 2027
  • Word Count: 2,500 – 7,000
  • Theme: Tales of mermaids, merfolk, and the rich mythology of the sea.
  • Genre: Fantasy, Horror and Speculative Fiction
  • Compensation: 40% of royalties split between all authors within the anthology for one year from the date of publication. 
  • Reprints: Yes
  • Simultaneous Submissions: No

DAYLIGHT

  • Deadline: 28 November 2026
  • Publication: TBA 2027
  • Word Count: 2,500 – 7,000
  • Theme: All stories that combine gothic horror and paranormal romance elements.
  • Genre: Gothic Horror/Paranormal Romance
  • Compensation: 40% of royalties split between all authors within the anthology for one year from the date of publication. 
  • Reprints: Yes
